The Office of Recipient Rights (ORR) New Hire training takes four hours to complete and class participants must attend the entire class to obtain a training certificate.  We cannot provide participants with a certificate of completion if they do not complete training, due to early departure.  Please be aware of the length of training when scheduling employees. To serve you better and afford more training seats, Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) ORR Training Department will continue to institute “first-come-first-served” seating for New Hire Recipient Rights classes.

Unregistered participants are welcome to attend, unless the room is at capacity. If a participant arrives after seating is full or after the class has begun, that employee will not be admitted.  All unregistered participants must provide the trainer(s) the following information:

  • Hire date
  • Driver’s license/state ID number
  • Employer/provider/agency name
  • Email address
  • Contact information

Class participants should obtain this information prior to the beginning of training.  If participants require special accommodations, please contact the ORR Training Department five days prior to the scheduled training date to make arrangements. Effective 12/2/15, OCHN ORR is implementing a new electronic test for the Recipient Rights trainings.  OCHN requests participants bring a fully charged (bring charger) smart phone or iPad/tablet to the class, in order to take the online ORR New Hire test. Certificate receipt depends upon successful test completion.
