Mary Kucharek is a partner at Beier Howlett Attorneys and Counselors and a longtime community-engaged Oakland County resident. For more than 20 years she has effectively and enthusiastically worked with clients to represent their legal needs. Kucharek is the city attorney for the City of Orchard Lake Village, The Village of Lake Orion, and holds the position of assistant city attorney for the City of Birmingham.
“It is a privilege and honor to have been given the opportunity to work alongside so many gifted people, whose meaningful purpose is to enhance and promote all individuals, especially those that are most in need and deserving of compassion, respect and dignity,” says Kucharek. “I sincerely hope my perspectives can aid in this wonderful endeavor of OCHN.”
In her new role as an OCHN Board member, Kucharek will work with fellow Board members to provide leadership in policy development, strategic analysis of OCHN’s future, budgetary oversight, and service delivery offered through the public mental health system.
The Board’s governing responsibilities are in compliance with the laws of the State of Michigan, Oakland County, and the Mental Health Code, with the goal of ensuring that every effort is made to meet the needs of people.
Kucharek received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Detroit School of law. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from U of D as well.
