Anxiety Disorder

A youngster with an Anxiety Disorder experiences anxiety more strongly and more often than others, and has excessive worry to an extent that it may interfere with other areas of his or her life.

Children of any age have worries, but when the worries and fears do not go away, are not appropriate for their age, and stop children from participating in their usual activities in the same way, an Anxiety Disorder may be present. Anxiety disorders are among the most successfully treated mental health illnesses.
